THE 2007 ANNUAL MEETING WILL BE HELD
AT NEWPORT BAY RESTAURANT IN SALEM
SATURDAY MARCH 10, 2007 AT 12:30 pm
Oregon Hereford Women's main purpose is to support Hereford youth. Oregon Hereford Women provide trophies, ribbons and premium money for Oregon Junior Hereford Breeders shows, the Junior P.I., and the Western Regional Junior Show. Plaques are provided at Oregon county fairs for the top 4-H and FFA Hereford exhibitor.
Oregon Hereford Women supply funds and awards for the Oregon Junior Merit Award winner and for the National Junior Hereford Association council member for Area 1. We sponsor the illustrated speech contest, and the Oregon State Queen contest, providing travel funds for the queen as well.
Financing these programs is made possible through donation from Hereford breeders and enthusiasts. Our main fund-raiser is a donation heifer sold through the auction at the OHA Annual Spring Sale.
We provide hospitality at the OHA Spring Sale, the Oregon State Fair, and Oregon Junior Hereford Breeders shows. Anyone interested in joining in on our fun may contact any officer or director. Our membership dues are $10.00 and our annual meeting/luncheon is held in March.
