The 5th Annual Cascade Spectcular
Show and Sale is joining forces with the Oregon Hereford Association and selling both Angus
and Hereford Females.
The sale will be held in Redmond,
Oregon, at the Deschutes County Expo Center on the weekend of October 21st through the
23rd. The Oregon Hereford Association is excited to have this
opportunity.
Friday, 10/21, from 10 to 2, is a "Shopping Spectacular" for all the
interested ladies. We will visit local Western Stores with gifts, discounts and
prizes. A no host lunch will be held at the Pine Tavern, in Bend. To RSVP call
Lisa Forester at 541-923-7704 or email her at cfranch@q.com. Friday evening at 6:30 we will have a Hereford Consignors
meeting at the Straw Hat Pizza Parlor, in Redmond, at 6:30 pm.
The preview of sale cattle will begin
at 10:00 am Saturday morning with the sale starting at 2:00. Lunch will be served by
the Oregon Hereford Association. We will have Silent Auction items that will be
displayed at the sale and results will be anounced at the Banquet. If you are
interested in making a silent Auction Donation please contact Teresa Cox at
541-327-2458. Semen packages are welcome.
Saturday evening will be a banquet
for the Oregon Angus and Hereford Association at the North Sister Conference Hall on the Expo
Center grounds. There will be a social hour at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00. Combined
OJAA/OHJA Juniors Pizza Party/Social will be in the other half of the Hall. Music and
Dancing to follow dinner. All Juniors welcome to join in. Dinner
is $30.00 a Adult and can be collected at the door. We will need a RSVP so we
can reserve your place at the banquet.
The next day, Sunday,
October 23rd, will kick off at 9:00 am with the Female Futurity, with $2,000 going to the Hereford
Futurity Champion and $1,000 to the Reserve Champion. Immediately following will be the Open
All Breed Heifer and Steer Jackpot. Hereford Juniors will show in their own Oregon Hereford
Association Sponsered show. Great Award sponsered by Oregon Hereford
Breeders.
